Owners Anton and Bethany Olson have grown the company the same way they’ve built their life: with vision, grit and an unwavering commitment to doing things the right way.
From The Back of a Pickup to Breaking Ground
Anton’s journey began in Madrid, Iowa, where he was raised in a hardworking farm family. Inspired by his grandfather, a skilled carpenter, he began taking on jobs at just 17 years old out of the back of his pickup using the tools his grandfather gifted him.
He went on to operate a self-performing carpentry and concrete business, playing a key role in multi-family and single-family developments, commercial build-outs, schools and large-scale ground-up projects.
Today, Anton has expanded that experience by opening Gentry Construction, serving as a General Contractor and Home Builder. The company is proudly breaking ground on its first housing development, a milestone that represents not just growth, but a long-term vision for building communities that last.
Bethany, a University of Iowa finance graduate, has managed business operations since 2014, overseeing contracts, marketing, project coordination, and financial management.
As parents of four busy children, they understand how important your home or business investment truly is. By intentionally keeping Gentry Construction streamlined and owner-led, they maintain low overhead while delivering high-quality craftsmanship and personalized service.
